The Lexus lineup of luxury cars have always been known for their impeccable styling and cutting edge amenities. The LC convertible concepts made enough buzz, and now the production-ready version is out- which looks just as stunning! The Lexus LC lineup won praise for their styling, but the glitches that made a few looks elsewhere were an abysmal infotainment setup and not so excellent transmission system. Thus, the company has unveiled the LC 500 convertible with refinements and a few additional features to woo the target buyers. The LC 500 convertible will be sold as a 2021 model year car.
The LC 500 is a convertible, which means it comes minus the roof by default, but you can activate the soft hood when the need arises. It takes 15 seconds to retract and comes in handy to tackle occasional spell of rain and chilling wind. However, the LC 500 Convertible also has changed under its hood, and that is what matters to the majority of buyers! The vehicle sports a redesigned and tweaked chassis and a tuned suspension. Under the hood sits a powerful 5.0-liter 32-valve V8 engine aided by a 10-speed DirectShift automatic gearbox. The engine makes a healthy output of 471 horsepower. It is not precisely category-leading but no slouch, either. It will be offered in hues like Smoky Granite, Liquid Platinum, and Flare Yellow, etc.
The noteworthy thing about the new Lexus LC 500 convertible is its modified Climate Concierge that helps you feel comfortable even when the roof is down. This is done by deploying air conditioning, neck warmers, seat heaters, and a steering wheel heater. The polycarbonate deflectors help cut down wind noise when the roof is down. Of course, Lexus has made use of some new noise cancellation technologies to reduce cabin noise. The luxury seekers will love the new Lexus Enform infotainment system, which has a 10.3-inch screen and supports Alexa along with Android Auto. The Lexus Safety System+ is there to ensure you stay safe even at high speed on varying terrains. It includes a pre-collision system with lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control.
